One-on-one sessions

Every session is private, focused entirely on your goals. No shared appointments, no distractions, just direct care from an experienced sports PT.

Cash-Based Practice

No insurance paperwork, no pre-authorizations, no session limits dictated by third parties. You pay directly for care, which means longer appointments and treatment plans built around your timeline, not policy restrictions.

Training-based solutions

We work with your programming, not against it. Expect modified workouts, progressive loading strategies, and clear return-to-sport plans.

Injury recovery is just the starting point. We help you identify weaknesses, build resilient movement patterns, and develop training strategies that reduce re-injury risk so you can push harder with confidence.

Your Path Forward

From injury to full performance in three phases

Assess and Stabilize

We identify the root cause of your pain, assess movement quality, and create an immediate plan to reduce symptoms while keeping you as active as possible during recovery.

Build Capacity

Progressive loading strategies restore strength and tissue tolerance. You'll return to modified training with clear guidelines on what to push, what to protect, and how to progress safely.

Return to Performance

Full training volume and intensity resume with ongoing support to optimize movement patterns, address weaknesses, and reduce re-injury risk as you chase new goals.

After a severe ankle sprain in April, I worked with Andy once a week for three months, then every other week for a month to get my ankle back into working order. Andy was thorough and offered great advice and rehab services during my visits. I would not be back in working order had it not been for his help. In particular, the dry needling helped a ton. Grateful for Andy’s help!

After I re-agitated a previous knee injury while hiking, Dr. Andy was able to provide me with a specialized plan for recovery. He made a few adjustments as we went based on my progress and within a few short weeks I was back to hiking! I would recommend Dr. Andy to anyone - he was very professional & knowledgeable.

Andy did a fantastic job helping me stay injury free all season long. Being a professional off-road cyclist who enjoys using winter sports for cross training, it is crucial I am able to train hard day in and day out. Be proactive and stay ahead of any injury with his professional guidance!

Can’t say enough positive things about Dr Becker. When I first started getting knee pain, I thought my days running and hiking long distance were over. Within a short amount of time, Dr Becker showed me the right exercises to strengthen and stabilize my knees. Since then, my pain has completely disappeared and I am running again! Beyond that, he is very kind and understanding. Highly recommend!

I had been suffering from lower back pain that hurt daily and prevented me from working out to my full potential for months before I started treatment with Andy. My only regret is that I didn't start sooner. Andy did a full assessment, listened to my concerns and goals, and provided quality treatment and a plan for recovery and progress. I would recommend Summit Performance Physiotherapy to anyone else looking for relief and a plan to come back better than before.

I had a wonderful personalized session with Dr. Andy! We got to delve into the mechanics of my movement patterns and I loved seeing real data to confirm some things I'd been feeling in my body and fill in some of the blanks around patterns I didn't know I had. I came away from the session with some simple tools to add into my workout routine that can help decrease knee pain and improve overall strength, and would highly recommend letting Andy hold this supportive space for you!

Dr. Becker knows his stuff and doesn’t waste your time. He’s all about getting you back to what you love doing and will explain why each exercise/stretch matters. He also answers any questions I have (which are a lot haha) and explains things in a way that makes sense. Our sessions are always focused and productive - I can’t wait to use what I’ve learned so far this upcoming ski season!

I started seeing Dr. Andy when I realized my calf injury wasn’t going to heal on its own. Just three sessions in, and I’ve already experienced major improvement—not just in how I feel, but in understanding why this was happening in the first place. Dr. Andy is knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely invested in helping his patients recover. Highly recommend!

Andy is a great PT. Highly recommend him for rehab or just fixing a little hitch in your getup.

I went to Dr. Andy with a shoulder injury that had been lingering for 7 months. I saw significant relief of pain and an increase in range of motion after just 1 session. After being diligent with appointments and corrective exercise my shoulder has completely healed after 6 sessions. Can’t thank him enough for helping get my shoulder back.

Great experience! Andy is very skilled at what he goes! After one session my postural issues have gotten better

After a particularly active month, I had some really annoying knee pain. In middle age, you worry that you might just have to live with it. But, you don’t! Dr Andy not only enabled me to get back to working out without knee pain, but also to understand how to keep it from happening again in the future. He’s the best mix of knowledgeable, kind, and engaging. We used a mix of strengthening exercises, tissue massage, and dry needling, and I’m pretty much back to my normal self.

This has been the most wonderful experience and I would recommend Dr.Andy to anyone!! Not only has years of back pain vanished but we were able to address other minor issues I had. Best money I have ever spent!

Andy did wonders for my lower back pain, I cannot recommend him enough!!! I was in excruciating pain every day before I started my 6 sessions with him and now I hardly notice any pain in my lower back. He worked with me financially AND I didn’t have to deal with insurance bs. He has also given me many exercises to continue to help strengthen my back, even after our sessions ended. Truly cannot recommend him enough if you are in pain and need a physical therapist in the Denver area!!!

Andy is actually the best. A great PT who helped me out with IT band pain, and also just a good hang.

I really appreciate Andy's approach to physical therapy. He uses force plates in the assessment to show potential imbalances. He actually got down to the root of my knee pain. Immediate relief, and my next run felt amazing.

Dr. Becker is terrific. He carefully listened as I desribed my symptoms, performed targeted diagnostic measurements, and then developed an effective treatment plan, including dry needling, massage, exercises in the gym, and an at home program. The plan worked after a few sessions, and I'm now symptom free. Andy has a deep knowledge and strong understanding of how muscles, tendons, and joints can be injured and how to prescribe effective steps that can be taken to heal them. He is particularly adept at treating shoulder pain. Andy's kind and patient manner lend themselves well to personalized physical therapy that truly works.

Dr. Becker is fantastic and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to any part of the human body and ways to treat. Provided in depth diagrams to show exactly what would be targeted during dry needling and made me feel much more comfortable with the process. Also, provided effective soft tissue work along with exercises to do between next appointments.

FAQs

Common questions about sports physical therapy in Denver, CO and how we work with active adults.

Do I need a referral to book an evaluation?

No referral needed. Colorado allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can schedule your first visit without seeing a doctor first. We'll coordinate with your physician if needed.

What should I expect during my first session?

Your initial evaluation includes a movement assessment, discussion of your training and goals, and a clear plan forward. Most first visits last 60 minutes and you'll leave with exercises or modifications to start immediately.

Do you take insurance?

Summit Performance Physiotherapy is a cash-based practice. We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide a superbill for you to submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement if your plan includes PT benefits. We take FSA/HSA as payment as well as Care Credit.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your injury, training history, and goals. Some athletes see significant progress in 3-4 visits, while others benefit from ongoing support through training cycles. We'll discuss a realistic timeline during your evaluation.

Can I continue training while working with you?

Yes. Our goal is to keep you training as much as possible while managing load and modifying movements that aggravate your injury. Complete rest is rarely the answer for active adults.
